Student Founder Showcase 2024

The Student Founder Showcase, held on 23 October 2024 at the University of Southampton’s Student Enterprise Junction,

was a dynamic gathering of innovation and entrepreneurial talent. Seven student founders presented their businesses, showcasing ventures from AI-powered bid automation tools to ‘plug-and-play’ battle maps for Dungeons & Dragons, and protein-enriched gummies for athletes. The event celebrated the journeys of the University’s latest Foundership Programme cohort, who benefitted from equity-free prize funding, office space, and dedicated workshops and mentorship over the summer. Several Foundership alumni also returned to share their own experiences, offering insights into the breadth of support they received throughout the UoS Student Enterprise Ecosystem.

The Junction was filled with energy as students passionate about entrepreneurship mingled with business leaders, investors, and university staff eager to connect with emerging talent. The evening sparked lively discussions around collaboration, innovation, and Southampton’s enterprise ecosystem. The showcase not only championed the achievements of this year’s Foundership cohort, but also highlighted the University’s commitment to fostering innovation and empowering student entrepreneurs with the resources, skills, and guidance they need to bring their visions to life.
