The Student Enterprise Team warmly invites you to the Student Founder Showcase, a celebration of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship at the University of Southampton.

Be inspired by the entrepreneurial journeys of our 2024 Foundership Scheme participants and explore the extensive support available for students aspiring to start their own businesses while pursuing their studies. 

Whether you’re joining us for the full event or just a portion, we’re excited to have you with us.

Event Schedule

16:00 – Coffee and Cake Founders’ Reception

Kick off the evening by mingling with current and past student founders. Enjoy coffee and cake while you chat with the Student Enterprise Team, who can guide you through the wealth of support available to aspiring founders.

17:00 – Inspiring Founder Stories

Hear first-hand from student founders as they share their entrepreneurial journeys. Discover the challenges they’ve overcome and the successes they’ve achieved, gaining the inspiration and insights you need to embark on your own path. Let their experiences guide your first steps toward success.

18:00 – Networking and Collaboration 

Engage with influential partners from the city, dedicated university staff, and fellow students who share your passion for enterprise and innovation. While enjoying a selection of great food and drinks, build meaningful connections and explore opportunities to support and collaborate with aspiring student founders. This is your chance to unwind, network, and spark new ideas.

19:00 – Farewell and Future Steps

As the evening draws to a close, we’ll take a moment to thank you for being part of this inspiring event. We hope you stay connected, keep the momentum alive, and know that the Student Enterprise Team are always here. We look forward to seeing you at future events! Safe travels home!

In July, as part of the Student Enterprise Foundership Scheme, a select cohort of students were awarded £3,000 in funding, office space in the new Student Enterprise Junction, and dedicated support to allow them to commit a full twelve weeks over the summer towards exploring and accelerating their business ideas. 

The Student Founder Showcase will see participating students presenting the remarkable progress they’ve achieved over the summer. They will also share their experiences to inspire and help you to follow in their footsteps.

Venturefest South Festival of Innovation 2024

We’re thrilled to announce that the Student Founder Showcase will be featured as a special event in collaboration with Venturefest South. Attendees will receive complimentary tickets to the prestigious Festival of Innovation at the Utilita Bowl.
