Matthew 1: 18-25

If we agree that God is infinitely wise, powerful and creative, we also agree that he could have brought His Son into the world in an infinite number of ways. What does the way He chose to do it, tell you about the nature of God? What intrigues you about it?

His birth was predicted 800-1000 years earlier by Isaiah (Isaiah 7:14-16).

The gospel of Luke tells the same story. Mark starts with Jesus as a grown-up, as it was aimed at the Romans who were more concerned with action.
