The Micah Challenge at the Junction

Carly and her faithful assistants put on a great eye opening session at last Sunday's Big Gathering. The Micah Challenge is the church response to the Millenial goals - to quote the Micah Challenge Australia website:

"Micah Challenge Australia is part of a global campaign which aims to deepen our understanding of justice issues and our engagement with the poor as an integral part of our faith. We want to make poverty history by encouraging our leaders to halve global poverty by 2015 through achieving the Millennium Development Goals."

These goals are not just financial but include empowerment, gender equality, environmental sustainability, health, education and more. For more details, check out the Micah Challenge Australia website at: http://www.micahchallenge.org.au/.

This forum has been started to give you opportunities to raise ways in which we can each make a difference - it may be a global issue, but each one of us is able to help at least one person, which will make an enormous difference in that person's life. I encourage you to share opportunities, whether it be ones that we can tackle individually or as a church. Tell your stories too, that relate to this issue.
