Thanks for the reply Neal. Even if you're not "part of The Junction", you are always welcome to be part of "the junction Online"!

Even if the blogs go, the forums will still be around, and I was planning to transfer the existing entries into the forum.

I agree that Kim in particular needs to post more, along with the rest of us. Part of the idea of ditching the blogs and concentrating on the forums is to promote as much interaction and participation as we can.

E.

While I am not part of The Junction - I will miss the blogs - and I think if they had more postings by Kimmy and co then more folk would visit them! I for one have gleaned a lot of wisdom from the posts that are there!

Planned changes to the web-site - feedback wanted

I've got a few changes planned for the web-site, but I would love to hear feedback on what can be done to make the site of more use to the community, so please post your suggestions in this topic!

Changes I have planned are:

Remove the blogs. They just are not achieving what we had planned, I think. I will cut and paste entries of substance into the forums before they go.

Create the ability to export the Calendar to programs like Outlook and Sunbird (someone actually asked for it!)

Some behind the scenes stuff to make Michelle's life easier (and hence my own!) maintaining the calendar and what's happening.

I would also love to give the site a face-lift, however I am near the limit of my artistic abilities with the look of the site now. Anyone with a bit of web-site design experience who would like to help improve the look of the site please contact me, that would be much appreciated!

Again, please make suggestions if you have any ideas of what else we could do to improve the web-site. Thanks.

Forum software upgrade

As you may have noticed, I have upgraded the forum software being used at the junction Online.

You'll notice a whole bunch of little changes to the look and behaviour of the program.

Among the changes are extra protection of the registration process which should hopefully stop some of the spam entries we've been getting (and I've been cleaning up).

If you notice anything broken please feel free to email or message me, or post here.

E.

In fact, I debated whether or not to keep it once I noticed that you were using a similar motif. In the end decided to just let it be.
