Kim Hammond
Kim Hammond is the Victorian Director of Forge with a Bachelor of Arts (Ministry) and is a fully credentialled CRC Minister. Kim and wife Maria lead the team at the Junction - a missional community comprising families and young people from the south and east of Melbourne, ranging from Frankston, to Berwick and Box Hill and places in-between.
Kim is a gifted, inspired and engaging speaker and has spoken at youth camps, church services and conferences around Australia, as well as having speaking engagements in London, the Czech Republic and the USA. He has taken seminars on mission to the first world, mentoring and leadership. His preaching crosses denominational boundaries, with Kim accepting invitations to speak at Reformed Churches of Australia, Baptist Churches, Anglican and Churches of Christ.
Kim uses a great blend of humour and passion in his speaking and is a great storyteller. He has a background in theatre and comedy and a deep passion for God with a great level of personal transparency. He is often asked to speak on building community, postmodernity and reaching people through local mission.
Kim and Maria have been married since 1994 and have three boys Lachlan, Carter and Jordan. They live in Beaconsfield, in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, 45 minutes travel from the city. Kim plays basketball, loves food and having people over for BBQs but mostly he loves taking his boys swimming or his wife to the movies.
