Sad new from the Hammonds
Some sad and challenging news about Carter our 7 year old.
For those who haven’t heard, Carter our 7 year old, has been diagnosed yesterday with “ALL” Leukaemia, he’s in the University of Chicago Hospital-children’s ward. He is receiving world class care, Community-our church has been outstanding in loving and helping us,
Carter is being very brave & in good spirits despite having had a blood transfusion and several serious procedures. His Chemotherapy has began yesterday and he has a long journey of 12-18 months of treatment,
Carter would love letters and cards (so would his brothers).
Maria and I and the boys are obviously devastated. There has been lots of tears and lots of prayers. We still believe God brought us here to America for a reason. Obviously being away from family and friends is hard and yet we are learning to trust God and we have built some new relationships who we need and love.
Much love kim and maria, Lachlan, and Jordan (and Carter of course)
