The Junction Camp
Wow, what a great time we had away at camp.
Twenty-nine adults and 21 kids headed down to The Island CYC Camp from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th November. It was a time to spend as a community, getting to know people in our broader community, as well as spending more quality time with people from our own PCs.
The facilities were great - we had access to the swimming pool, basketball court, trampolines, rope course, rock climbing, spent time on the giant swing, enjoyed a bonfire and more. Food was included and it was great to have someone else taking care of the preparation, leaving us to just turn up, enjoy and take turns at clean up assistance. Some of us had 2 very late nights, just chilling out and laughing - proving the adage that laughter is the best medicine.
Darryl Gardiner popped in from the Forge weekend just down the road, to share with us around the bonfire on the Saturday night and Kim shared his heart on Sunday after breakfast, both very thought-provoking and inspiring sessions.
We had great weather, lots of fun, it was very relaxing and a much needed time away without the pressures of everyday life. We enjoyed it so much that we plan to do it again same time next year.

So if you missed out this time, make sure you have it in your diary for next year. We will get the dates out as soon as they are confirmed.
