Good Friday was great!
Beaconsfield Community Centre has become our gathering home and we made the most of it on a fine and sunny Good Friday morning.
The room was full to overflowing as our families came together to remember this most important time in the Christian calendar.
Pastors Bert Taylor and Steve Swain led us into quiet contemplation of what this time meant to us and visiting musician Mark Tonkin drew us with him in a wonderful time of worship, with just his guitar and our voices lifted up in praise.
Then it was the kids turn. The pre-schoolers made their own little Easter scenes and acted out the story that their teacher Julie read, before everyone. The obvious delight of all assembled brought smiles to all the kids faces - as did the chocolate egg which had just moments before been part of their Easter scene.
The Hot Cross buns were finished (very quickly) and so we finished the morning with the Easter Egg hunt. The kids were all so excited finding their treasures and then waited patiently whilst they were redistributed fairly and evenly.
It was a great morning, a time of family, faith and fun.
