Fire and water
A recent beautiful Saturday afternoon, was spent with our community getting together over fire and water, with a touch of nature thrown in for good measure.
It began with the kindness of neighbours, who allowed Junction families to come visit and meet their farm animals. The children were very excited and enthusiastically set to the task of petting lambs and chasing chickens, walking through the orchards and picking ripe fruit from the trees.
We then gathered in support of Tim, who bravely took the step of being baptised in water - the bravery not only in the deciding to be baptised, but having the baptism in the local farm dam! (the water was beyond freezing).
After witnessing Tim’s commitment, it was time to make our way back to homebase to enjoy some time together and to get set for the finale.
A substantial amount of fuel was gathered for the bonfire, in between playing with bubles, having a kick of the footy and gathering together to enjoy a shared meal.
Once the sun started down, it was time and the bonfire lit not only our night, but a lot of the local night sky. It was hot enough to warm even Tim’s freezing bones!
A wonderful day spent with family and friends at the Junction.
