Cup Day BBQ at Frankston
Mark and Bec invited a few friends for a traditional Melbourne Cup Day BBQ, on the Frankston Waterfront.
Although the weather was unkind, a great group of 40 friends from the Junction and other churches close to Mark and Bec’s home nearby, enjoyed cooking, eating and sharing with old and new friends. Mark and Bec’s generosity was expressed in the amount of food available for all to share - the kids received special attention with donuts and lollipops - all of which disappeared very quickly!
The cold wind didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the group gathered and although I can’t tell you who had the winning horse in the Cup Sweep held there, I can tell you that most of the money was donated to a good cause.
Food, family, friends and fun in the wind - who could ask for a better way to spend Cup Day! Thanks to Mark and Bec for putting it all on, it was a great time.
