Cookies galore
A dedicated bunch of early morning cookie makers gathered at Beaconsfield Community Complex last Sunday, to cook up a cookie storm. About 20 dedicated, enthusiastic, early rising Junction community members, along with their junior assistants, arrived with ingredients galore to bake biscuits for the Christian Prison Fellowship. This was as part of a statewide effort, with other organisations also cooking up a storm, enabling the Fellowship to provide Victorian inmates with a package containing 10 homemade biscuits and some Christian literature.
A tiring, but satisfying morning was spent baking and entertaining the kids, with the resulting effort of approximately 1,000 ANZAC, choc chip, shortbread and other biscuits being freshly baked for distribution by Christian Prison Fellowship. What better way to spend our Sunday service, than in service to the least loved in our community.
